Virginia Driver Improvement - Course Completion & Final Exam
At the end of your Virginia driver improvement course, you will take a final exam. This exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, and you will need to score 80% to pass. You must take this exam at an approved testing site within Virginia state lines. Keep in mind that you are only allowed 1 attempt on the exam every 24 hours.

There are several different types of Virginia testing centers you may visit in order to take your exam. These include:

- Libraries
- Community colleges
The location you choose must be approved by the Virginia DMV for testing.
How to Schedule Your Final Exam
In order to schedule your final exam, you will need to call the DMV-centralized test center and make an appointment. You must bring photo identification with you to the testing center to take your exam. To find a test center, you can utilize the state of Virginia's DMV Locator tool.
