The California DMV Learners Permit Test
If you want to earn your California learners permit and drivers license, you first have to pass the permit test at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). This is a written exam that tests your knowledge of California traffic laws and signs.
The test has 46 multiple-choice questions, and you need to answer at least 38 questions correctly to pass.

- Read each question carefully. Do not read more into the question than what is written. Each question has one correct answer and two incorrect answers.
