How to Take a Texas Insurance Discount Course
Did you know that by voluntarily taking a defensive driving course, you can save money on your auto insurance? Many insurance companies offer this incentive to drivers who take the initiative to improve their driving skills. Here’s how I Drive Safely can help you lower your insurance rates.
1. Contact your Texas insurance provider for eligibility info and discount details.
Your insurance provider will let you know about discounts for voluntarily taking our Texas defensive driving course. If your insurance company offers such a discount, make sure that you ask how long that discount applies (many insurers offer these discounts for up to three years), and whether or not it can be renewed. You’ll also want to find out when your discount will go into effect.
2. Enroll in our Texas defensive driving course.
You can take our Texas defensive driving course at your own pace, and you can take breaks as you like – the autosave function will let you resume right where you left off. Be aware, however, that that your account with us will expire 180 days after you register for the course. That should give you plenty of time to finish our defensive driving course – after all, it will only take you six hours to complete!
3. Once you’ve completed your Texas defensive driving course, submit your certificate of completion to your insurance company.
You can fax, mail, or hand-deliver your completion certificate to your insurance provider. Once they receive it, your insurance company will then process it and apply your discount to your premium. We’ll send you a certificate of completion for free via email.
