Texas Defensive Driving Course (Ticket Dismissal)
This 6-hour course is approved in Texas for ticket dismissal.

Course Curriculum

What should you expect?

The Texas Defensive Driving course contains text, videos, and animations aimed at helping you become a better driver in a way that's interesting and interactive. You'll learn traditional driving safety information, but also Texas-specific rules and regulations like state speed limits and DWI/DUI laws. The course will take you about 6 hours to complete and contains 8 chapters, each outlining a different aspect of driving safety:

Introduction
Highway safety
The driver
Alcohol and drug impaired driving
Other driving impairments
Traffic laws
The driving environment
Driving emergencies
The vehicle

You will take several short multiple-choice quizzes in each chapter throughout the course. You must take and pass a final exam upon completion of the course. You must score 70 percent or more on the final exam before a Certificate of Completion will be processed or mailed to you. If you score less than 70 percent, you must retake the final exam.

NOTE: This course is approved by the Texas Education Agency and meets the legal requirements for traffic ticket dismissal.
