Idaho Point Reduction Course
This 6-hour driver improvement course is approved in Idaho for DMV point reduction.


Course Curriculum

What should you expect?

The Idaho Point Reduction course contains text, videos, and animations aimed at helping you become a better driver in a way that's interesting and interactive. You'll learn traditional driving safety information, but also Idaho-specific rules and regulations like state speed limits and DUI/DWI laws. The course will take you about 6 hours to complete and contains 12 chapters, each outlining a different aspect of driving safety:
  • Driving is a privilege
  • Defensive driving strategies
  • Traffic signs, signals, and roadway markings
  • Safe driving practices
  • Turning and passing
  • Driving in the city
  • Driving on the freeway
  • Driving on the highway
  • Challenges of driving
  • Driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol
  • Sharing the road and driving responsibly
  • Vehicle safety and maintenance
Each chapter will include a series of short quizzes that review important content from that chapter. You must pass each quiz with a score of 100 percent in order to proceed to the next section. You will be provided with feedback on any incorrect responses. You may then re-attempt the quiz in order to proceed to the next section. The quizzes do not affect your final exam score.

You also must also take and pass a 25-question final exam upon completion of the course. You must score 70 percent or higher on the final exam before your Certificate of Completion will be processed and mailed to you.

NOTE: This course is approved for point reduction in Idaho.
